You want to make sure you’re still eligible for the tax credits as this you aren’t the first owner anymore.

I looked into it and everything checked out well. Now its all about coming in on Saturday. The dealer is Toyota of Easley the salesman his name is Andy, he is in charge of everything to do with it and he has been excellent so far! They are only showing it by appointment but I do recommend him. I'm the overly buggy customer and so far he has made me feel comfortable so thats a plus.

I just went to Downeast Toyota Dealer (1 hour drive away from my home) to test drive Prius Prime. They had two Advanced and one Premium on their lot. I test drove the Premium model with sticker price of $30,133. I liked the way it drove, feel and handling was very good, though I was not able to test the EV mode for the battery was not charged. I was not so thrilled with the large LED and all the touch screen control may take some getting use to. I don't like leather seat but the feeling of Softex was OK, though I do think I prefer cloth cover if I had a choice. One thing I disliked was the white accent on the steering wheel and front console. After the test drive we sat and worked some numbers. In the end, they game me matching price on the lowest quote from a dealer in Boston.

Here is the final numbers I got.
Prius Prime Premium base price: $28,800
All Weather Floor Liners/Cargo Tray: $248
    Door Edge Guards: $125
    Rear Bumper Applique: $75
Delivery Processing and Handling Fee: $885
    MSRP TOTAL: $30,133

    Sales Price $27,524
State Sales Tax on NET TRADE DIFF $976
    Document Fees $225
    State Title Fee $33
    State Arbitration Fee $1
    less Factory Incentive -$3,125
    TOTAL: $25,634

After federal tax credit of $4500, the total cost would be $21,134. That's $8,999 off from MSRP. I couldn't refuse the deal. I singed and the deal was closed. I am now proud owner of Prius Prime Premium.:LOL::LOL:

Great price! do you know how much more was the Advanced?
ALSO: did he mentions if the cash incentives (~$3,125) are likely to stay the same for August?

I wanted get in Plus, but my dealer didn't have Plus in stock. From my asking several dealers in NE, Premium had deeper discount than Plus, in effect the final price on Premium was less than Plus. I was not interested in Advance, so I didn't even look at them. The sales person I talked to had no idea about the future of incentive. If they did not match the lowest quote, I would have walked out and waited to see if they continued the offer, but now it's a moot question for me. :)

Hi there, this is my first post here!

We have an old Prius and a Leaf. We've looked at a Bolt and a Prime to replace our cars. I've read this forum, but was recently focusing on Bolts, because there a lots of cars and good deals in California. The local Chevy dealer unsurprisingly stuck to MSRP yesterday, with such a low trade value for the Leaf (Kelly Blue Book minus 20%), that we turned back to the idea of trading our old Prius for a new Prime. So I came upon the info on these great discounts here yesterday!

We're good to do a remote deal (from Memphis, TN) in 12 hours, but it would be a busy day! I have an email from Jerry's Toyota in Baltimore that says "I wanted to take a moment and email you to remind you that tomorrow is the FINAL DAY of the 2017 Toyota Model Year End Clearance Event". Does anyone here know if that is a solid fact, or just dealerspeak? Do we need to plan to fly to the Northeast tomorrow?

The end of month is typically the time to get the best deals. I bought mine from:
North Kingstown Rhode Island Scion, Toyota Dealership | Tarbox Toyota

You can secure the deal with a modest, $500 deposit via credit card. Then you have time to arrange for payment, a cheap flight, and drive home. Make sure you pass under the eclipse path August 21 on the drive home. <GRINS>

Maybe Toyota is shifting its sales strategy and will stop offering those $3k+ incentives to the North East US and level the playing field? ... or maybe with Tesla Model 3 excitement growing, the incentives will stay around to shift the 2017 models before 2018s are released!

As predicted, Toyota is continuing the huge cash back incentive at least until Sep 5. Offer Details | Local Toyota Offers | NewEngland.BuyAToyota.com Now, I am regretting I rushed to making a major purchasing decision. Closing a deal on on Prius Prime Premium and driving it for 3 days, I am now convinced that what I should have worked out a deal was Plus trim instead. :(

Doesn't check out. The Toyota rebate on Primes in the Northeast lasts throughout the month of August at least. I'd say don't rush up there, keep E-Mailing around.

I'll also point out that in Baltimore, it looks like the rebate is only $1000, while it's upwards of $3000 in New England. If you're willing to fly further north, it will be well worth your trouble! I can speak to Boston area dealers offering additional $2000-3000 discounts on top of that rebate, too.
