    Hi to everyone!
My friend's Prius '05, was recently worked upon(battery pack replaced). Well, that's what he's service centre told em.
    Here's the history:
Car failed to start; wasn't scanned, and was towed to his service station, where he said an open circuit voltage test was done. According to him, only one module deviated from the others (8....volts).
Module was replaced, without undergoing the normal dischatge/recharge cycles.
Few weeks after, Christmas tree lights appears, and car consumes fuel so much.

Here was what I did when I brought the car for checks:
    1. Scanned it, and got P3014: block 4 becomes weak
    2. Removed battery pack and tested all voltages, discovered you've got more than one blocks that were weak.
    3. Got a known good modules from a Camry pack I had, discharged/recharged 2times, and matched the voltages with the other modules in the pack.

    Here are my ????s:
    1. Y does it appear that each time I replace the weak modules, and test drive the car, a P3016, P3010, would keep coming on?
In .y view, maybe the replaced modules seems to be of more capacity than the others, and that's y there's competitions amongst the modules (educate me please, if I'm wrong).
    2. I have tried rebuilding the pack more than 3X now, and I keep getting "a battery becomes weak" shifting from block to block.
    3. The best bet for me might Br to recommend my friend gets a new battery pack.

PS: Can anyone recommend someone who sells used, low mileage packs from the USA to me please, and would want to know if such battery packs can be shipped abroad(Lagos, Nigeria).

Used a 55W car bulb for the discharges.
    Awaiting your responses guys.

Have you load tested the entire pack with your 55w bulb? I'm sure you'll find more failures. Btw, why are all the buss bars connected in your picture?

Test the modules you're putting in too

Yes, I have loaded tested them.
Loaded tested them, and allowed them to rest for some hours.
Tested them, discovered I've got 4blocks that where weak. Replaced those blocks, drove the car with AC on, to exert more load on the pack, to see which could hold more charge.
Discovered yesterday after the job, that almost all blocks are weak now, except about 4blocks that have got some juice in it.

Thanks a lot for the replies

Your load test procedure is not correct. That's how you check for weak batteries before you install them.
Then after assy you need to balance the pack by outboard charging.
    Prolong charger works good.

    Do you had TS software?

Are you saying using the bulb procedure is wrong?

    That's what I did.
Appears all the modules aren't OK.
Now, I get a P0A08 code: replace hybrid pack, pending

It sounds like to me that this "new" pack is very, very bad. I wonder about its origins. My guess is they put in 28 modules of random origin and called it good.

    You're very correct.
The repair shop put in a Camry hybrid pack that was bad, and claimed it was for a Prius, and OK.
Few days, it had already started showing the Christmas tree lights.

Pls could you recommend any hybrid shop or person that does ship refurbished or used batteries outside the USA (maybe Lagos, Nigeria).
