    Perhaps some British humour does not translate well to US cultures. I noticed differences between here in Virginia and Canada where I grew up.

    I would not wish to embarrass anyone, either side of the great pond. It's just that humour in print loses all its associated inflection and tone. If fault there be, it's mine for not overemphasizing the tongue-in-cheek nature of the quip and instead opting for subtlety. This, of course, requires a mind for foolery - such as my own! :sneaky::(
