    Hello.

I searched all the forum and can`t find a article with this mod. I read on Toyota Auris Forum - Foren-Übersicht about a mod that apply to Gen3 that u can hardwire the cruise control on the brake and regen more energy. Since i do not know alot of german i can`t really understand what they are stating there.

They say breaking with cruise control alot more energy is regenerated instead of classic brake pedal.

If such article exist please delete this post.

Is there anyone with a Gen3 that installed this mod ? What it takes to do it?

I manually do it all the time in my '16v, very useful on mountain roads when we are traveling.

AFAIK, cruse control on all gen 3 automatically brake. I use it to charge my battery, and save brakes, on my way to work, which starts off with a 7 mile drive downhill all the way, set it to 55 mph, and it keeps me at that. Very useful

The only extra wear incurred by using the brakes instead of cruise control is to the brake lights. I use cruise to keep a lid on my speed sometimes because the roads here can be so bad that the car will switch to friction braking when it gets bumpy.
