maybe give the finance guy a call, what do salesmen know?
looking at my local dealers website, it says if financing, the rebate will be shown on the paperwork credited toward the downpayment.

That would have been fine but it was nowhere. None of the numbers made sense. I am going to try the dealer that has the actual car during the week.

Especially since you have a history with that dealer talk to the sales manager or general manager.

I was just so frustrated that I left. Then after I said it was more than I wanted to pay he said what about a Prius 3. I said no I came here for the Prime.

If you are a Costco member and know what trim & color you want, using their service will direct you to a dealer and you will get the special Costco pricing.
They will only direct you to a dealer that has that car in stock, according to their system. Costco refused to direct me to my preferred dealer because Costco said the car was not in stock when they actually had it. I lost a few hundred dollars but probably ended up with a better sales experience overall.

Not a Costco near me but a BJs and I think they have a similar program. Definitely something that I can check into. Thank you

Here, we have a Leaf snob who has preordered a Tesla Model 3. My Gen 4 does not compete too well with that.

YIKES, Tesla is hard to beat haha... My next goal is to get them to install a charging station. LOL. That may be a tough sell since they all have trucks, audis and fords

I am glad you are enjoying your new car. Most noticeable difference I felt when I switched to PRIME from Gen3 Prius Two was revived sense of JOY of driving. It is so much more fun driving this car than any of my previous cars ... Gen3 Prius, Civic Hybrid, Civic sedan, Sienna minivan,Grand Caravan minivan, Taurus sedan, Quest Minivan, Pathfinder, Celica coupe, Chevy Vega. I switched from Gen3 purely for the ability to Plug-in, but what I got back is much more than I was expecting. Enjoy.(y)

Only one warning! Protect your windshield! It is well worth carrying zero deductible glass insurance if you don't already.;)

It is definitely more exciting to drive. I had the Gen 3 Prius and before that Corolla, Passat and Civic.
No I don't think I have zero deductible glass insurance. Is it because it is crazy expensive to fix?

Crazy expensive and back-ordered in the US, from what I have seen in other threads here. The lower trim Gen 4 do not have the heat reducing glass of the higher trim Gen 4 with this issue. I am not sure what glass is in the Prime Plus.
My Trim 2 Gen 4 has survived abuse that would have broken other windshields. Perhaps I am just lucky...
