What's PGE? Do you have to be a resident of CA to get the rebate? I may have to test drive a Prime while I'm in Socal this weekend, there are none within 200 miles of me.

NY and NJ dealers won't give much of an additional discount above the $3500. New England has much better deals. We are on our way now to get one! :)

PG&E is one of the electric utility companies in California, serving much of Northern California. It seems that the rebate one gets from them comes through a state program, so other electric utilities in the state also have rebate programs of some sort, depending on who your local provider is. Only available to residents.

Flying out from Helena, Montana to New York next week to purchase our Prius Prime Premium. Taking advantage of the $3,500 discount along with the $1,193 discount brings the car down from $30,198 to $25,505. That is the out the door price. I pay no sales tax because I live in Montana. With my $4502 tax break this car will cost me $21,003. We are using free air miles for my wife and me to fly back. Then I will sell back to VW my 2015 Golf TDI for $25,096 - $1,096 more than I paid for it new in Oct, 2014 and with the difference we will landscape our yard!

They were amazing to work with! Best car buying experience ever. I went with the dealer that is only 7 miles from LaGuardia Airport - Star Toyota.

Drove from Virginia to purchase my Prime Advanced from Gault Toyota in Endicott, NY. $627 off of msrp and only $75 document/dealer fees. Also with the $3,500 manufacturer's cash back. Not as steep a discount as some here have posted but a big savings for me and a chance to spend the weekend with my grad school roommate who lives close by.

Just bought a new red 4 Touring 2017. It parks itself! Listed for $ 32,754 and I negotiated down to $$26,400. Bought a 10 year extended warranty for $1600. Did I do OK? Are there tax credits for Prius in Souh Carolina? How do we add storage in this car? Hardly any room for sunglasses, etc.

Greenville, SC. Taxes in this state are just $500 for any vehicle. I had all my information and checked my phone regularly to "discuss" what we were willing to pay. They wanted $2900 for the 10 year extended warranty but I told them we'd buy it on-line and they immediately gave us "their employee rate." My husband is delighted with his new car and my negotiating skills! Now we have to decide on a name for the plate...

We just bought our car at Langway. The experience was positive and I would buy a car from them again.

Prius Prime Advanced- msrp of $34,298
Paid- $27,973 including $200 doc, $24 temp tag and $20 title fee

They took a Polaroid of us! I'll attach it. Damien was great to deal with as was Mike, the general manager. We met the owner, he was extremely pleasant too.

Langway has a Nissan and Chevy too.

I'm in the third picture, my husband is with me.

PenFed has had really low rates for people with good credit for a long time. So so many Teslas were financed through them.

I should have been more detailed - 3,125 dealer incentive. Good luck buying the car, and make sure you check for the paint defect that my car has and seems to me to be super widespread.

IIRC, multiple dealers told me it was lease-only as well.

Ours had a paint defect also, there was a noticeable scuff on the bumper. I asked if they could try to buff it out, but it's still there.

What was wrong with your paint?

Hi. I'm new here. I am in the market for a new car, and am seriously considering Prius Prime Advanced. I live near Indianapolis. None of the local dealers carry this car. I have to drive about 1-2 hours to find one. Also, the two dealers (only two that carry Advanced, the third one carries just Premium) that carry Advanced are asking for $3,000-$6,000 above MSRP online. I'm sure the prices are somewhat negotiable, but those prices are much higher than what I found on online ads in places such as Long Island. Also, as far as I can tell, none of the Chicago (closest larger city) area dealers have any in stock. Is this just the "price" of living in Midwest? I'm almost tempted to fly to Long Island for a test drive.

Check out New England area, and I think Rhode Island has best prices at this time. Here in Socal, there is a $1000 factory rebate, and there are plenty of cars.
