[California] New Additional "Clean Fuel Rebate" for Prime (SCE & PG&E)

    Like the rest of you, just recently got the email saying that the check's in the mail. Woo-hoo! :)

    The check came very fast. For those who got the email saying the check is on the way, it came within 2-3 days of getting that email (I live in SoCal).

    It asks for SCE account number when I applied :( is that new?

    Can't remember, but if it does, just give them your SCE number. If you're with PG&E, they're offering a similar rebate (I believe $500 instead of $450), you can google for their form for it. If you're not with SCE or PG&E though, you might be out of luck if you have one of the smaller power companies. If so, you could try calling them to see if they offer it (maybe they just don't publicize it?)

    I think they wanted the account number so that they can correlate each car and rebate to an actual SCE customer. Like @stevepea I can't remember if they asked for that during the request process, but it definitely makes sense that they do.

    I think that in addition to PG&E and SCE, many of the California municipal electric utilities offer EV rebates , since the program is actually funded by the state. Mine does, and they advertise it in bill inserts.
