Exactly, and that's how I would use it. Instant replay on sports, etc.

I saw this feature show up in 2014 on my Camry Hybrid and 4Runner about the same time as HD radio which is also a great feature. You can leverage HD radio to provide traffic info on maps, etc., in addition to higher quality radio signal, scrolling song titles among other things.

It's way better than our old standard radios that did everything. They played "both" AM and FM radio. :p

Yeah, can't count the times I've been waiting for a traffic report and then just completely missed it because I got distracted by something happening on the road or a conversation with a passenger. I always seem to realize I missed it right after it ends, so great to "rewind" a couple minutes.

On these, the traffic info displayed on your map is provided by HD radio.

Traffic reports also play over radio stations, sometimes every 8 minutes.

True, but that would make me listen to "radio." :D

Local news/traffic station in D.C. gives traffic reports every 10 minutes and they're very good (they crowd source a lot from drivers, so much of the info is real-time). I don't listen to the station for much more, but their reports have saved me from standstill traffic many times over the years. I realize I have online options (Waze, traffic screen on the MFD, etc.), but it's so much easier/safer to just listen while I'm driving.

I had not discovered this, but it may explain something thats had me quite confused.

For the past while, I've been noticing that when I take a 30 second or so call.. After I hang up and the radio kicks back on.. whatever I was listening to seems to keep going right where I left off. Which has confused me to no end, and made me doubt my sanity.

Now.. I just need to figure out where its dumping the 30 seconds to get back to real time

I hear you. I did the Manassas to DC drive daily for a few weeks and was impressed with the radio traffic coverage. In those traffic conditions, listening is better.

Real time, eh? Now, this might sound like science fiction, but the Prime has the ability to, and get this... stop time. Yes. It is true. Kinda blows your mind, right? The 8.8kW battery pack holds some secrets beyond storing electrons.

My son found it while playing around with the radio (I just bought this car). "Wait a minute! Why is there a pause button on the radio? It actually pauses the radio!" He was freaked out. He said that if you pause it for 5 minutes, then when a commercial comes on you could fast forward it and skip the commercials. (Of course only the passenger should mess around with this when you are driving).

I believe it also pauses automatically if you take a call and will continue where you left off before the call.
