I've gotten tons and tons of complements on my Blue Prime's color. It's a hard color to photograph and it tends to look a good bit different in person than on the brochures and pictures.

It definitely is an eye catching color, I admit. Just not for me. ;) Here is another eye catching color that I would not want to be in. Thermotect Lime Green!

Before my blue Prime, I had a black car, a silver and black car, and a silver Prius. I was tired of colorless cars so I decided to get one that wasn't another shade of gray. The only two options are red and blue. My wife absolutely hates red so that wasn't an option. I initially wanted the darker blue that you can get in the regular, hybrid Prius. I even saw one in person, and liked it. I ordered the blue Prime sight unseen. Now that I have it, I actually like it's color better than the darker blue in the regular Prius. It's just an unusual color that changes appearance more than most in different lighting.

My wife does not like the red (she likes the silver) but I got red anyway. It's my car, I like the color and it's easy to find in a parking lot. Funny enough, my neighbor just got a Tacoma that is red as well (but on close inspection they are very slightly different reds, but it's hard to tell). Hypersonic red vs Barcelona red. Go figure.

Since I don't own one I can say without a vested interest that I think with this latest Generation Prius, Toyota did a masterful job designing a beautiful looking machines.
Unfortunately, when the designer reached the back end, he obviously went into spasms, and somehow the random scribbles made it to production.

Haven't had time to read the entire thread, but regarding the Original post... I got used to the front, but the back end is hopeless IMO. At least the red color of that car hides the ugly taillights. Mostly though, I don't really care too much what it looks like. I don't have to look at it when I'm driving.... And is it any uglier than a Pacer, or a Gremlin, or a VW Thing?

On that note, did anyone address the snow issue? I am mostly worried about the low clearance and damaging the underside of the car driving over an ice chunk.

The Prime is in good company. There's a long line of cars who's back end was considered hopeless such as the 63 split window Corvette, the Auburn Boattail Speedster, the Tucker, the AMX, etc. Then there's Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez!

It's illegal, but if you don't mind, I always go 15% all the way around and it's perfect imho.

I had 20% before and I thought it was too dark. 15% maybe just right especially since it can help with the glare on the huge screen.

Never had a clearance issue with the gen2 in snow. The traction control could become an issue, but I understand Toyota has been improving its response.

Let's try to keep to 4rpr15's original post and questions.

To that end, if you are near Madison, Saturday we will be celebrating the National Drive Electric Week:

Please come out and you can have these conversations with Prime owners (myself included).
