I have a Prius Touring 2009. The car alarm started going off randomly. The only thing that stops it is to leave the key in the ignition. I put a new 12v battery in, but the alarm went off again this morning. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this issue? Thanks!
My son's 2005 did this a few times. It stopped after we replaced the FOB battery. We cleaned his FOB internals also, as the buttons were worn and some parts of the rubber pads were missing. We replaced the FOB shells a few weeks later, but we didn't have any more alarm problems following the battery replacement/cleaning.
