Any way to turn off speedometer?

    I've just been out in my car - realised I don't recall having looked at it anyway - but certainly looked at the Speedometer in the HUD.

    There are trims here with no HUD. Mine is one of them.

    But then what if everyone else has also turned off their speedometers? And everyone follows the lead car. And then all of you drive off a cliff at 100mph.

    I thought only Gen 2 had the mirrored speedometer. @Tideland Prius would know for sure.

    You can’t dim the display until it’s off? It’ll only work at night with the headlights on (same on previous Prii which leads to some “help my speedo isn’t working” threads).

    The Gen 4 switches to a TFT screen. The Gen 2/3 used a... VFD? Screen that is reflected onto the instrument panel.
