I am looking at buying a 2017 Prius4. Does Toyota Care include Labor costs and the touchscreen?
when I bought my 2005 I also bought the Platinum Warentee which covers the car bumper to bumper for 8 years or 100 thousand miles. I was able to get a new key fob, after the 5-year warranty point and a new touchscreen both free and no labor cost. for 8 years it was a total piece of mind. does anything like that exist today?

i believe you can still buy full warranty, people mention them all the time, and you usually can't get out of the dealership without the hard sell.
    what is toyota care?

2 questions on the Platinum Protection
Q1] does it cover Bumper to Bumper including Labor?
Q2] what is the best price? (and from whom).
    thank you

I have the Platinum plan- it was transferred to me when I purchased a preowned Prius that had it.

For me, there's a $50 deductible, and I think that's about it. It was explained to me that it's very similar to the new car bumper to bumper, except the interior wear and tear items (like the seat fabrics, arm rest material, etc...) aren't included. I haven't used it yet as all I've done is change fluids.

That would be up to the dealer. I am not sure it they can sell them over the Internet any more.

This is going off memory, so these are unofficial numbers: On my '14, the Platinum was $2500 new. When I purchased the vehicle at the 3 year mark, the warranty was worth $1,200, which is what they would have refunded to the original owner.

Remember that in the first 3 years, the extended warranty is redundant with the new car bumper to bumper warranty.

If you want the extended warranty buy it just before the 3 years/36000 miles is up.It won't last 3 years longer but at least you aren't paying for duplicate coverage you can't use.
