The 12v battery in my Gen 3 is exactly 8 years and 1 month old. I recently purchased an Optima Yellow Top as a replacement. I guess I better replace it later this week. It’s time!

My 2010's 12V bat lasted just over 7 years and when it went, all sorts of weird things happened. It wasn't completely dead which made it worse to initially figure out the problem. Some ECU's powered up while others didn't. Engine would run, but not driveable. Strange stuff.

So, how many electrons are there? Is there actually a similar amount of electrons as a regular Prius?
What is a regular Prius? Does this mean my Prime is irregular? A lot of very unscientific conjecture there Bis!

Yes, we have seen/heard a lot of strange symptoms over the years, gives one the idea that much of the electronics is very much interrelated.

My perception is: All the Hybrid batteries are connected in series/parallel to comprise a certain voltage output. When that lower level is reached thru normal depletion then, at that point the display shows no numerical charge number, however, there may be a few cells with a small charge left and they are still putting out enough charge in EV to propel the car an extra mile or 2. If the car is traveling downhill at this moment then a bit more EV travel is obtained. Check with BISCO on the number of electrons involved.
But you are right, it is happening.

I’m busy absorbing electrons 10 to the 345279710 power .

My 2012 Prius v 12V battery went dead just last month. Only gave me 5 1/2 years. I did replace it with a yellow top optima.

Also, I have a 2018 Prime Advanced on order. Sure enjoy all the post in this forum and learning a lot about the Prime that will be useful when mine arrives sometime next year.
