I've got some KitchenAid products: Frig & toaster, about 5 years old+; have had no problems yet, although have been told icemakers are biggest problem on refrigerators. I never use my icemaker; it's turned off. Never use dishwasher; I have beautiful bone china I use every day which you can't put in dishwasher. My son bought LG frig; will never buy another product from them again; 3 year old expensive component (compressor?) died. Part was free; $800 labor was not; he was furious over warranty provisions! My Whirlpool washer and gas dryer, recommended by Consumer Reports; 3 1/2 years old; not one thing wrong. Samsung 42" 3D TV, cost me $2800+; royal piece of dog doo doo (I'm keeping it clean!). Major circuit board went out in 2 years; no warranty, but I screamed and yelled and they finally relented since I had not been using the TV for over a year. Then the wifi went out in the 3rd year!! Was able to by-pass with direct Ethernet connection. Picture still great, but will never (don't say never!?) buy another Samsung TV again. Their phones are good however; far more "intelligent" than those Adam & Eve monstrosities (Apples)!! Models always change; brands have frequently become untrustworthy! Have I mentioned that I love/trust my Prime?!!

Love my 1 year-old Bissell cordless (of course!) 22 Volt "stick vacuum", recommended by Consumer Reports. EXTREMELY convenient especially with my damn messy Yewee (the cat!). Plenty of power; long time usage battery for my 1100 sqft house. No cords or lengthy set up; easy empty.

Kenmore, all-gas range/oven, with no fancy bells (no convection oven) and whistles, recommended by Consumer Reports has provided over 2 years no problems whatsoever.

Best Buy was free delivery for all my appliances; quite a bit cheaper than Costco, who also wanted $75 to deliver washer/dryer. Check Consumer Reports for appliances, but must get exact model or recommendations won't apply; too much variation between models within the same brand; it's crazy!!

Best Buy is $70 for delivery, unless the purchase is more than most medium priced appliances.
More and more brands are making store chain specific models carrying their brand. Those models cannot usually be directly compared with the tested ones and is part of the "lowest price" scam. If a model is made exclusively for Best Buy, they are guaranteed to have the lowest (& highest) price on that model.

I'm in Anaheim; it was free here 3 years ago. Just checked our Anaheim store: free delivery on appliances, $399 or more. Must be a regional thing?!

The key is "$399 or more" Looking at a 7 cu ft chest freezer, for instance, you would need to pay $70. Some stores ship for free.

That's a ton of money for a "minor" item; I wonder if they price match?

Actually competitors are all closely matched on many of the items.

They price match only with THEIR CHOICE of other vendors. "We will match the price of key online and local competitors"
Who determines if a vendor is "key"?
Price matching used to involve offering a LOWER price anyway.

Put an ad on Craigslist, Freecycle, etc. and a scrapper might take your old one for free.

My utility company has free pick up of old appliances; they encourage people to get more energy efficient appliances. Purple Heart Veterans is another source for used appliance free pick up.
