    I disagree, fail to understand this compulsion to busy up the exterior, and find pointless facets festooning the facia foolish frivolity. Fah!

    The 2018 Equinox looks much better with the creases along the sides than the flat doors of the 2017.

    But design has to be taken as a whole.

    Replacing those fake vents with a flat cover will stick out with the visible borders, and could ruin the entire design. It's like a pickup with 2WD and the base trim. Sometimes those wheels just look wrong on the truck because it wasn't designed with them in mind.
