Hi. I need to replace driver's side fender on my 2006 Prius. I see a nice thread that answers most questions.
But would like to confirm that you do need to remove the headlight to remove the fender. Also I see there are replacement fenders with and without the emblem mounting holes. I found a good fender at a salvage yard without the emblem, but does it matter (is one from earlier years vs later) even though mine has the emblem.
Thanks for any details...would be great if I could also find a video but no luck. The details and link to picture here is good: Fender Replacement DYI (help ?) | PriusChat

I'm going off memory here but I believe there's quite a bit to remove.

    1.. Bumper
    2 headlights
    3. Fender
    4. Wheel well covers (mainly clips)

I can't remember if the front door needs to come off for easy access

thanks...door doesn't need to come of...thank goodness...I am wondering about some item that may have broken off, looks like it has wires coming from it and I do have one loose plug in that location...wonder if its essential:) You can see the item in two of P-Cars photos, img_0724 and img_0719. I may aske in another tech topic too. See:

I'm just curious, is it just scuffed, a little damaged, or really torn up. I'm always a fan of letting our bodyshop pull things out, fill, sand and paint. They do it very seamlessly, "blend" the paint so there's no obvious transition.

It seems to me bolting-on a fresh fender, there's inevitably going to be a color transition, just due to different paint batches, the different condition your car and the replacement fender have been in. Or is that not a priority? Where do you source your replacement fender; is it salvage, pre-painted? Or new, and do they just come primed?

got a nice salvage fender for $75, and black so not that worried about color change...much cheaper than a body shop...It was dented pretty good. Any idea what the part I can't identify is...see:
