I live in ocala florida. Ive noticed that people in other areas pay way less then i do to fix their combination meters. The toyota dealership here wants 1100 bucks to make this repair. Is there any place in central florida that can do this repair for me cheaper? The closest place is miami, and thats way to far away. Someone please help me, this dealership is a rip off, and always has been.

The cheapest way with someone else doing the work is to pull out the cluster.....and ship it to a shop that will repair it. They send it back and you put it back in. Cost: $79

There are several videos on YouTube showing how you remove the cluster. It involves pulling plastic pieces out and removing screws. My brother did it once said it was incredibly easy. Not sure on time but my guess is 20 minutes?

Another option is to find a used cluster with roughly same miles for approximately $100....And then pay someone to install it or install yourself. I think $100 labor is a fair price for someone to swap the cluster. A handy 12 year old kid could do it.

I'm not sure I'd let my 13 year old grand kid loose on it... :ROFLMAO:
