1000km range is one of the longest on the market. If anything, there have been requests for longer EV range - I'd be surprised if TOYOTA boosted petrol tank size - where would it go unless in the spare tyre well. However, by Gen 5, I'd be surprised if, even if it's no more bulky, they can't access a higher density battery pack.

1,000km is already impressive given the size of the tank. Not many cars can do that range with such a small tank. (Midsize family cars like the Passat or Camry will need 15-17 gal tanks to offset their worse fuel economy).

Besides, couriers need to stop for food, drinks and washroom breaks. They can get the car refuelled while they’re inside.

I have achieved 800 miles on one tank of gas. That's good enough for me. (1287km)

That won't be driving like a courier, though.

500 km range, with a bit of buffer, is fine by me.

Incidentally, that's the range that the Gen 4 gave when we picked up the car - 1,300km.

On the Gen 2, 600 miles was the benchmark. (I got 548 miles / 876.8km)

I think the Gen 3 was also targeting 600 miles. There was a 700 mile thread. (My best is 594 miles / 951km)

On Gen 4s, 600 miles should be achievable by a greater number of owners.

Also, keep in mind that my numbers are over hilly terrain and only achievable in the summer with multiple longer trips over the course of the tank.

Owners in the Gulf States and Australia have been getting much better numbers due to more favourable topography and wide open spaces that take better advantage of P&G or just steady speed.
