ICE comes on anyway

    3M makes a double-sided "clear tape" that leaves no residue. I even use it to anchor Christmas lights to my stucco! It has red separator tape, and is somewhat expensive. It's gummy, and I think it may be silicone based. It's stretchy and about 1 inch wide, called 3M VHB.

    Whelp today I charged my car for 10 am departure no climate prep left at 12:15pm recorded the incident but turned off recording when after a few minutes ICE did not kick in, then I set cruise control and ICE kicked in slowed down for traffic light and ICE shut off and went back to EV resumed speed cruise control, ICE kicked in again this phenomenon kept repeating itself for several traffic lights, temperature is 48F Edit: turns out the recording did not stop when I thought I ended it. Uploading to youtube now.

    seems to be the case, when I brake and cruise is off it goes back to EV mode, then when I resume cruise ICE comes back on, this is the first time I have noticed this

    here we go, it's long because I thought I turned off recording when ICE did not kick in, then when I "turned" off recording ICE kicked in, but thanks to my friends ineptitude lol, it still kept on recording.

    We're still trying to figure out how to replicate the symptom at will. In this case, the cruise control seemed to have an effect and was part of the two times I've seen the symptom.

    Temperature?

    Good news, the dash cam showed up today. I've got to get a "TF" flash card; work on mounting, and; test operation. FYI, I typically use video editing to align, trim, and reduce the size.

    here's the video of when I turned off the video because I thought ICE was not going to come on, lol when in fact ICE came on at the time I stopped the recording> disregard the audio, nothing to to hear there, lol
