While plugged in I also press Remote A/C before leaving for work for 10 minutes.

I do that too. That helps if you know you don't have to run the engine and can only run in EV mode and want to preserve your EV range. I have been successful in running in EV mode 98% of the time since my last fill up on February 26th. I still have 430 miles until empty. Here is my tripometer reading as of yesterday.

So tell me the times you leave it in EV mode vs HV mode though. I understand the engine running part now. What about highway driving. See it’s easier for you as it doesn’t get too cold in your neck of the woods.

With your distance you drive, you should be able to drive in EV only on any road or highway. EV is more efficient than HV mode.

I usually go in HV while on the highway. Otherwise I use Remote A/C while plugged in for 10 minutes before and off I go. I was just missing a few things there. Thanks man! Are you considering changing out your wheels. Here’s what I’m looking at. Velox metallic Gray/Black 15”. I’m gonna stock with the stock Dunlop’s for now until after this winter once I see how they do.

Not right now. I just went with no hubcaps and new center caps. 20170523_110552.jpg

I gotta get rid of the hubcaps for sure. I always like the Anthracite/Gunmetal look of rims I guess. At the same time I don’t want to make mine look too ghetto either. I don’t think I’ll do a roof wrap.

The wheels you have shown look nice. I am not into the black wheels myself. From a distance, the wheels remind me of steel stamped wheels without hubcaps. A cheap look. But some like it though. I am a polished alloy or chrome wheel kind of person.

That was exactly my concern. I almost need to look at something like these.

I agree. They are just a cleaner look. Not too silver and somewhat polished.

Note that the hubcaps likely do improve wheel aerodynamics, and therefore efficiency.

I almost forgot that I manually have to turn on the setting in climate control that stops the cold air from coming inside each time.

There's a reason why that automatically comes on during heating - in cold weather, you want fresh, dry air coming in, because the car's cabin is far more likely to be humid as it warms up, with things like snow melt, in winter.

I manually turn it on since I use the seat heaters now.

Hey I forgot to ask if I do not turn my heat on when it is very cold and I just have my seat heater active what do I do when my back window starts fogging up? I still plan on using remote AC 10 minutes prior to departure.
