I did not mean the waterless type instead I meant the rinseless type:)

One local Chevron dealer has one that's also touchless but it sucks. It doesn't handle the back end of a Prius well at all. After going through it I still have to clean the glass below the spoiler and and rinse some soap off the back end. Most of the time any more I just rinse the car off in the driveway. I don't particularly like to drive a dirty car but it doesn't need to sparkle either.

Yeah I think there'd be a business model, renting a concrete aprons and hoses. Not this coin-fed pressure washer nonsense, just providing the DIY driveway wash scenario, for apartment dwellers, say with a reasonable hourly rate. Sheltered to keep you out of direct sun would be sweet, maybe semi-sheltered in colder regions.

My favourite accompaniment is CBC One radio, something topical to listen to. (y)

As I have been getting the Leaf ready to trade in tomorrow, I saw this post.. They do make a hot air leaf blower... It's called Blaster, and it's bolted to the top of my Stanley tool roll around. All the chemicals, cloths etc are stored in there. I wash the car, when finished I grab the Blaster hose and start from the top down and blow the water away. After running for about 2 minutes, the air gets nice and warm, which helps drying. When you get to a door handle, metal name tag, or the tires, it will blow the air right out leaving you with a warm dry surface. I set this cart up when I got my Gen II, it has served me well ever since. Note the really nice reflection on the side of the car... 3 stages of rubbing compound, wash between each grit, Glaze, 2 coats of wax.... I should get top dollar on the trade in!!

I tried that clay bar method from the video today. The windshield looks amazing! Thank you for posting that .

I see besides that one, Chris Fix has a lot of other videos on his site. Tomorrow I'll give his method for cleaning the inside of the windshield a shot.

Just wait until your first rain/snow storm! :D (tip: make sure you clean the wiper-blades (I use Rain-X Latitudes and replace them whether or not it's needed - they're quite inexpensive, and the old ones are useful as spares in an emergency!) and try to only use the wipers as sparingly as you can!) ;)

I did pick up on cleaning the wiper blades at the end of the video and made sure to clean them.

Being here in SoCal we may not get rain again for another 7 years but I will be doing this again in June when battery reconditioning is due. It's all part of the preparation for our usual lengthy summer trips. At some point in time we hit heavy rain on those trips every year.

Well today I got a nice below MSRP deal on the fully loaded Niro, 9k for the Leaf trade in, I'll take it, I have a white pearl '18 with Advanced everything! Really nice ride. First car I do not need a break in period. It all makes sense, really easy to drive, love the red dash lights, I have been doing that to cars for years. Even the little light in the door handle is cool..... It was a good day, and a free fill up!! Fuelly, here I come!! Pic time...
