I'm Losing bars on my Gas Gage, Am I losing Gas too?

    I am not the expert but I do not recall any past posts saying the O2 sensors or bad cat as the cause of low Prius MPG. For example,somewhere we have a low MPG checklist. Maybe O2 sensor is on there, but I do not recall it coming up.

    Normally we say first step is check 12v battery, for everything.

    I just filled up tonite and lost first pip right away. Got 5 gals in there with 2 pips showing less than 20F outside.

    No you weren't. 5X20 is 100.
    If you really think you were getting 100 MPG, then we are discussing the wrong problem here. ;)
