Several reasons for "The Decline and Fall..." Among them, no more trees. Can't dream Rome past that.

A friend of mine had one of these, a DS and not one, but 2 Cords. He used to alternate between driving them all as daily drivers. This wasn't one of his cars, but this is what his Cords looked like.

Space Seed as inspired by Run Silent Run Deep.

But we already have trek talk somewhere else.

    More Cords. Please oh please.

    But I can't stop

    Very different Genes...

I've loved these ever since I had a red toy one as a kid.

    Your friend has excellent taste.

Had, he has since passed away.
When he would bring one of the Cords over here, the neighbors would come over to look at it. A most beautiful car.

Front-wheel drive was an early innovation by Citroen and Cord, that has become prosaic.

    Difficult to do doughnuts, though.

That's for sure, I had a '66 Olds Toronado and a '73 Cadillac Eldorado and I could have put plows on the front of them and cleared snow.

My mum learned to drive when I was about 5 or 6, and her first car was an early 70s Ford Escort.

One winter, soon after she got the car, we went to the cinema to watch Herbie Goes Bananas. When we came out, there'd been a large (by our standards) snowfall, and our car was the only car in a car park covered with virgin snow. Dad got us all in the car and then did doughnuts in it. I was only six or seven, but I remember it like it was yesterday - it was great fun.

Going back to topic, a few years later, Mum unfortunately bought a Citroen.

Not so. You just held it by the rear bumper/fender (not guitar) and swing it round and round! :ROFLMAO:
