So I've been looking for some new headlights for a while now to put on my 2012 Prius (halogen model). I want to match my Valenti smoked tail lights so I was looking for a set of black headlights. I'm aware that you can put the headlights in the oven and pry apart the assembly to paint it but I'd rather just by new ones.

I found a few for sale but a lot of them are listed as 2010-2011 but then I also found some listed as 2010-2015 (I would have posted links to where to buy them but this is my first post so I guess I can't use links yet). So I'm wondering if theres any difference between the two. I thought that the gen 3 Prius's headlights were interchangeable throughout 2010 to 2015. Can anyone confirm? If they ARE in fact different, which years would the Toyota G's headlights fit.

If it makes any difference, I have the halogen style stock headlights but will eventually replace the bulbs with LEDs.

I messaged @sfv41901 but he hasn't been active for a while. Does anyone else know if the 2010-2011 headlight assemblies are the same as the 2012-2015 ones?

Fitment should be same for 2010-2015 but 2010 and 2011's headlights have a very light blue tint in the lens.

Our 2011 has clear lenses, I believe the blue tinted lenses are on the Plug in Prius. But yes, all halogen headlights from 2010 to 2015 should be interchangeable.

I wonder why so many are listed as 10-11 only even though they're interchangeable. Thanks for the input though. Maybe I'll post a pic once I install them.

I was looking at those ones but I found some from Spyder Auto. The ones on amazon might be Spyder as well but it doesn't say anywhere or have the part #.

Let us know how the quality of those lights are, especially whether the light cutoffs in the projector lowbeam lights are like the oem headlight housings.

Regardless, make sure you adjust the aim of the headlights after installation so you don't cause excessive glare to other people.

I'll definitely post pics once they ship and are installed. In the meantime, I gotta figure out what to do about the old halogen bulbs. I've been looking through the forums and found a couple people who were successful in just replacing the bulbs, but I couldn't find the links to which LEDs they bought. My goal is to replace the low and high beams with LEDs. Any suggestions?

    Here the deal with this.

10-11 Halogen Based Headlights have a Light Blue Chrome on the inside of the headlight.

12-15 Halogen Based Headlights have the traditional Chrome on the inside of the headlight.

12-15 Halogen Based Headlights on the PiP have a Darker Blue Chrome on the inside of the Headlights. This is not the same blue on the 10-11 Headlight.

10-11 LED Based Headlights have 2 LED projectors & 1 LED reflector. The high beam is round. The Parking light is a 912 Halogen bulb.

12-15 LED Based Headlights have 2 LED projectors. They eliminated the reflector LED. The high beam is squared. The Parking light is now a LED bar above the low & high beams.

So based on this, its safe to say that 10-15 fitment should be the same it was mostly cosmetic changes that occurred? So if one wanted to go the route of the OP headlight purchase for a 14, should be fine based on connections and lighting type?
