HI...we just bought a 2009 prius less then a month ago. after driving it for less then 1000 miles.....the engine started shaking and all the idiots came on, including the death triangle, and the whole car stopped driving totally. It is now at the garage...and the code it gave was a crank sensor...so they replaced it and it still is giving that code. please help

Welcome to Prius Chat. Sorry to hear of your problems. We used to live in the Pocono's. What garage did you take your Prius too? I bought a car from Motorworld but didn't use their service dept. much but when I did they seemed good to deal with. Halterman's in E. Stroudsburg has a very good service dept.

    congrats and welcome!
they might have to clear the code, or you can try disconnecting the 12v negative for a few minutes.

    how many miles on her?

    Welcome.
I hope not. That is low mileage for those issues, IMHO.

well..we just heard it was the transmission. thankfully with my father in laws discount....it is a little over 2000.00...so that could be worse. what are the chances that the transmission is the first thing to fail and everything else could start failing?
