So you assumed they were stolen and posted fake news, scaring the Heebie-jeebies out of us 17" owners. o_O
Could be the owner removed them himself.
You're not by any chance a locking wheel nut seller are you ? :sneaky:

They still talk about "fender benders", but those plastic fairings fore and aft neither fend nor bend.

They look like they have the potential to drain the wallet though.

I have an 18 volt impact wrench at home. Works better than an air powered impact as well. And to get locked lug nuts off a car just hit them with a 2 pound hammer hard as hell and most of the time they will break.

I like one expression the side-man in George Gently used: "clever clogs".

The Brits have lots of quaint expressions, many of them distinctly regional. Many parts also have accents so different, folks from other areas can't easily understand them when they speak! :ROFLMAO:

Around my town, they just take the whole car, usually Hondas. The cop around the corner from me had so many Hondas taken, he stopped buying them.

As a Californian, the people I have the hardest time understanding are those from the British Isles that don't seem to know that they have an accent and pretend that they are speaking English...

To resurrect George Gently one more time, they upload_2018-2-4_11-7-0.png were interviewing a "provincial" family, would ask questions, listen to the answers (which I found completely unintelligible), then ask further questions based on those answers, which seemed to me completely hilarious.

Sorry, completely off-topic, but must see, around 1 minute 10 seconds in:

Oh yes! I've worked in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with little problem. The most difficult to understand, were the great NE, hard Glaswegian and Welsh. After a year or two, you adapt though.

Last time we went to Florida with our northern British accents, the motel pool guy thought we were Scottish.
