Once more and then I quit.....for the moment.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY and don't add things not said:

In no specific instance did I ever claim to know if the 12 V system really IS the cause of the problem.

In EVERY instance, however, I have said......and will continue to say......that one should do some quick and simple tests on the 12 V battery FIRST because it CAN be the cause of the problem.

Not always. Sometimes......if it is bad enough.

And if you will look I think you will notice that I only repeat the "check the 12 V" advice more than once in a given thread ONLY when that advice is ignored the first time.......or someone sees fit to argue with it.

We know, Ed, that you don't like to hear from people who don't buy into your ideas as gospel.
    No need to remind us.

Somehow, the way Americans have been talking about politics lately is starting to seep into the way we talk about even supposedly level-headed things like physics.

If I had my druthers, I wouldn't mind seeing some of the seeping going the other way.

    Hello,
I am getting OBD2 codes on my Prius Gen2 code P3012 which indicates module#2 tested both cells on the module with a good load( battery operated circular saw) and the voltage went from 8.2 to 7.7 and I also had code P3021 which indicates module #11 and all voltage were between 8.1V-7.8v. test drove the car not even 500feet the red triangle came back...so I've done twicw in 2 weeks.
Please help. I also cleaned the contacts on the harness and tested the Auxiliary 12v battery but still get the same dodes and the red triangle even though I cleared the codes.

Step one is to ensure you tested the correct modules.

P3012 indicates BLOCK 2, which is module #3 and #4 from the end without the ecu.
P3021 indicates BLOCK 11, which module #21 and #22 from the end without the ecu.

You probably also want to take a good look at the wire harness connectors, the wire harness plug, and the ecu plug receptacle. They sometimes can have significant corrosion. I have a magnifying glass that I use for this inspection.

Do you have a way to charge the modules? What about charging the pack at once? Did you replace the modules? Where in California are you located?

I replaced the modules 6 months ago I don't have a way to charge the pack yet. I am in Los Angeles, Redondo Beach to be exact.
