I've said for years even if they don't change the drivetrain like typical PHEV, they should add a plug to all hybrids. Even if most people don't use it at least it would help ease people into the move to EV. And if you end your trip on low battery you can just top off for the next trip :)

I never test drove my first Prius (a Gen 2), I just knew it was what I wanted. I'd read enough to know what to expect. All the cool things my Gen 2 did, and all the new tech on my Gen 4 does, continues to delight me every time I drive.

Problem with the RAV4 is that unlike earlier models, there is very little room for storage in it. Kinda crazy.
I drove a 1997 RAV4 from 2002 until last week. Just replaced it with a Prius Prime. From 20mpg to 60mpg in nothing flat... kind of amazing. I haven't emptied the gas tank yet but looks like I may go 600 miles on one tank. I got everything I dreamed of except for 4 1/2 feet of vertical cargo clearance I had in the RAV4. Will probably augment with an old Astrovan or so.

I wish the 1997 RAV4 platform (or something equivalent) was still around but the new product didn't work for me.

I actually owned a 2006 XB. I miss the car. Absolutely no blind spots, 30mpg average, no problems for 9 years. Bought the Prius because of the need for a tax right-off. Love the 2015 Prius. Lots of blind spots, (yes, even with the reverse camera, you can't see the sides while looking at the screen), but love the 48mpg.

I've been watching college basketball to get my fix. Then it's Hockey, then college football, then the NfL and College football and I am back in total heaven!

I know the Rav4 has more cargo room than my Prius v does, taller entry as well which does come in handy. The one thing I really appreciate here is AWD, and the ability to tow something.

Not true for everyone. I couldn't stand the looks of the earlier generations. It was the new design that helped push me to purchase a new Prius last week. Both my wife and I love the looks.

For my money the Chevy Volt and Tesla 3 are Prius killers. Faster is more fun.
