The 2011 is actually a model 5, not a Persona. Personas were made in 2013 and 2015. If it was me, I look at the 2011. Good luck.

Haha, I did and they insisted they purchased it as a Persona. lol.

It's a big price difference for me, about $3-4k. Still worth it? The features it adds don't seem entirely worth it. Heated seats would be nice. I won't use parking assist. Safety features are great with adaptive cruise, but I've gotten by without them.

Toyota Canada has a level called Touring which has the substantial features of the US level 5 (aka V), but not most of the electronic fluff. Actually a pretty good package. The Technology package has the fluff.

I wish I lived there! My family does... but not me.

Re: my decision. One thing I'm factoring is mileage / battery health. I had read reports that under-driven cars, in some cases, could actually be prone to earlier HV battery failure than ones that were driven more often.

Also - does this Persona have fog lights or are those just running lights?

I don't know about the Persona, but those look just like my daytime running lights.

Yes, confirmed they're just DRLS. Ah well.

Does anyone know the difference between the 2013 Persona and 2011 trim 5 leather seats? Is one better than the other?

What about the seats in general?

Also : Should I be concerned about a 2011 with only 50k? Thinking HV battery life being lower because it’s been driven so lightly just around town by a senior citizen.

What’s better / worse for the HV battery? Highway miles or around town?

(For reference, here are the two I’m considering:)
2013 Persona: 2013 Toyota Prius Persona - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale

    2011 Gen Five:
2011 Prius Persona - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale

Our 2010 has only 74K kms, and it sat for 15 months when new before we bought. Battery has been champion so far, no noticeable change in behaviour.

Thanks. I’m thinking more in the mid- upper 150k range. Hopefully I can get some others to chime in. (y)

The Persona trim level was not equipped with fog lights. Only the model 5's were.

The 2011 has about 60 K miles less than the 2013. That's roughly 3 years of engine life more for about 3 grand more. Not to mention model 5 verses Personal model 3.

Agreed. The 2013 ended up having quite a screwy Carfax, three owners, and no maintenance history.. So I wasn't comfortable with it. It might have been fine, but too much of a gamble for me.
