My Prius gets lower 30's 29's in mpg, yes I do charge occasionally when I can since I live in an apartment, so I need buddy's to help out there. But honestly it's getting to the point where it's diminished returns. Since I'm on disability and also currently I verified by calling the dealer not that far from me 1640 plus tax, and I can assemble a dead core from my various rebuilding attempts. I am hoping with the help of friends and family as well as maybe a bunch of not so random and not so strangers. That I might be able to raise the 1758 bucks to get a new HV battery from toyota :- ). https://www.gofundme.com/help-me-get-new-prius-hv-battery
I am hoping your guys and gals can help me out. B4 I end up with the red triangle of death again. Every Lil bit helps :- )

Thousand oaks said they will honor the online price, understand that if you dun have a core when you buy it you'll need 1350 core charge (refundable) plus about 120 bucks tax and you'll lose the120 bucks to the tax man unless you have them install it. Or dun get charged it cause you got the core right there. And I do not know what they charge for install. I called them to verify the online price, but I know I got all the parts in my house, well apartment, to slap together the core.

The "core" that they want is NOT a complete, ready to drop in core.
    It is much less.

No computers, no rubber hoses, no end cap, etc. You will need to keep these pieces, bolts, etc from your old pack to swap over onto the replacement pack.

The battery you get from them is not fully assembled and missing many pieces. The missing pieces will come from your core, so make sure you don't turn those in to them. They don't want them and you will need them.

In a perfect world you would pay the core fee so you would not be rushed and could see exactly what it is that you need or don't need.
Next option may be to actually open up the Toyota battery crate, take the cover off the battery pack and take some pics of their core including the inside so you get an idea of what is missing. Then compare this to your own pack and retain the appropriate parts. But them may not want you to do this in their shop without proper protective equipment (High Voltage gloves, eye protection, etc)

Make sure when reassembling to have a proper inch-pound torque wrench.
You don't want to be guessing at how loose, or how tight you make the HV connections.

Feel free to call me if you have questions.

Well bad comes to worse I can always swap those pieces out from the one in my car, I have all the pieces of a fairly complete core from the junk yard in my apartment. But yeah in an ideal world A photo of what you actually get would be ideal. Or a detailed list of what you don't get so you can take it off.
However, the point is moot till I can get 386 people to donate 5 bucks or 2624 people to donate a buck or 187 people $10. It's the credit card charges that make that math weird. Trust me I'll be trying any which way I can to raise these funds.
But yeah Eric I could use a breakdown of what not to put on the core cause I can sell any parts on fleabay I dun need in the end to raise funds to fix anything else that will need to be replaced in the longer run.

PS: is that end cap you mention that sheet metal piece that gets clipped on the nylon piece connecting the electrolyte rubber hoses?

5 bucks more $1713 to go turns out $5 is the minimum on go fund me. Well if I just got $5 donations I would need 343 people to be nice and well the fees would be about 154 bucks which would leave me either collecting from about 36 more people or coming up with 154 bucks myself maybe a mixture of the two.
People if everyone who views this thread donated $5 and shared it on FB I would be much closer. Please help and or share my campaign.
