I'm a little behind in the posts, been working way to much. I'm also LAZY so all you are is getting a link to the Google album. Once the weather clears, I'll clean all of the cars and take a pic of our blue 2010 Prius IV, my 2010 blue Camaro SS and the 2018 Blue Crush Prius 4. I'm not sure I can fit my 2000 Trans Am into the driveway for that pic though. She will be in the garage. I'll bump the post when I get around to that.

I added the lighted door sills because I could. I love it in my Camaro. I also got the rear bumper applique to keep scratches off the top.

The main complaint of the car is that the hatch opens up higher than the old one so my wife needs to be on her toes to grab the handle and close it. She also misses the storage space from the 2010. I have yet to drive it, but it's comfy and quiet in comparison.

The blue really has a lot of purple in it and it reminds me of my friends blue Chevy SS. I'll add a photo of the cars to the album accordingly.

    Congratulations.

The hatch door was a common comment on PriusChat when Gen4 first materialised. I can reach it, but with shoulder bursitis means it's a stretch I'd prefer not to make.

BUT the biggest problem is that it goes high enough to occasionally hit things when fully open. I've hit it on my carport door when I hadn't driven fully into my carport, a friend's roll-a-door and on a low pipe in a car-park. I now know, and watch it!!!

The other problem I've had, if the hatch has been open longer than 15-20 mins, the door is quite heavy/stiff to close again. TOYOTA agreed and replaced the gas struts under warranty - the replacement struts are the same.

Someone was talking about going to a gas strut supplier and seeing if they could get a pair slightly shorter - I can't recall if that ever happened.

Congrats and welcome to PriusChat! I have no problem reaching the inside back door handle, however when I use the Rear SunShade, being only a little short-arsed Brit of only 3.61 cubits, I have to really stretch high in order to get the suction-cups to fix on the rear screen! ;)

Very nice. The blue is beautiful for blue. I normally don't like blue on cars, but I call a hearty exception for the Prius. It looks a mile deep.

For others who wish the hatch wasn't so hard to reach, here's what I'm going to try. I totaled my Gen 2 before I got around to trying it:

Connect a piece of twine or lightweight rope about 12" long with two 1/8" s-hooks to the strut that holds the hatch open. This will prevent it from extending all the way. When you shut the hatch, the string simply folds into the slot for drainage.

Paraphrased from @john1701a's Iconic Prius User Guide.

I'll see if it works on my Gen 4 and report back.
