With the Prius being so low.

Is the 'Black Plastic Shield' under your motor, broken, missing, or perfect?

Mine is all there, but has scrapes and a couple wear thru spots from parking stops and high step up sidewalks in front of convenience stores.

Mine was missing when I received the vehicle. Afterwards I picked up a BT Tech Skid Plate (metal version of such), and even after hitting multiple carcasses I still haven't installed it

Thought about putting the metal skid plate up for sale, or fabricating additional pieces if there was enough interest from the gen2 crowd

I think 3rd gen has a similar front piece? Ours has scraped multiple times, from aforementioned wheel stops and curbs. Wheels stops are the worst, because the front piece tends to ride up and completely over them, then snag/tear when backing off. I've had ours off a couple of times, doctored it up with 2 part epoxy and fiberglass mesh. If/when it gets too far gone I've got one in an Amazon basket, if it comes to that.

What is "V=" in the title, by the way?

YUP! Mine was badly damaged as it scraped everything low (a normal curb stop got it every time). Finally fell off last year going through muddy snow (shortly after CarX did 100,000 mile maintenance [replaced trans oil, water pump and, brakes). I bought a new one for $30 on ebay, but haven't bothered to put on yet.

The Prius is short, I never pull it up to a curb or a stop block.

My Gen 2 was never scraped on the chin with over 100,000 miles.

Off topic, but happened to our son parking in a lot one time: the dimbulbs that put in the wheel stops left one of the rebar "earth nails" protruding about 4~5", made a right mess.
