How's it going. My Prius is fairly over 260k miles. It's still running pretty smooth, besides some engine revs that some 0w-20 cut down a bit, it runs good.

I want to take my prius on a 350 mile roundtrip and i'd like to do some good solid maintenance on it. Ive had the hybrid battery replaced at 200k and besides routine oil and tires.. I want some real maintenance to kinda secure the bag.

What should I expect to see at a dealership in terms of what they're going to do and an expected price?
    Anything I should mention?

    Thanks

Look at the maintenance manual. You received one in print and it is easy to find via Google

As for cost -- call around when you know what services you want.
It can be very cheap if you invest some time in learning to do it yourself. I spent ~ $100 for a major maintenance earlier this year.

Sounds like have been keeping after the routine oil changes!
Not sure what you mean by 'engine revs' and 'oil viscosity'.
Have you ever change the transaxle fluid?

Extrapolating the US 2nd gen schedule, it looks like the 260K service would be just engine oil and filter change, tire rotation and visual inspection of brakes. I don't think it'd be imperative to do this in advance of a 350 mile round trip, but if you do try to do it a few days in advance, just in case they mess something up. I've attached a spreadsheet of the US 2nd gen schedule, which initially stopped at 120K miles, but I extrapolated it to 260K. The only real variation is increased frequency of engine/inverter coolant changes, after the first time at 100K, thereafter it's at 50K intervals.

Here also are snap shots, 0 through 120K miles:

And the continuation to 260K miles:

    As always....

What exactly is "Inspect Transaxle Fluid" and how does one do this 'Procedure'?

Why not just replace it and be amazed at the crud that drains out?

My object was to just to create an easy-to-read list format of the schedule as presented by Toyota, not interpret it.

But yeah I agree. To me, "inspection" would be: No leaks? It's fine. And an early fluid change, followed by one a fair bit further along, and that'd just about do it: I'm for that. As to what constitutes acceptable fluid, let's let sleeping dogs lie. :)
