I took off my Prius Prime wheels and tires and ended up getting 17 inch wheels and tires.

They have 23 miles on them. They are brand new.

Is there a market for them anywhere on the Prius website?

I figure if somebody has an earlier generation Prius and wants a kinda modern update, these hopefully would fit the bill I just don’t know how to market them any ideas?

Would the rims be the same as any 15" fourth gen, it's just the wheel covers that are distinctive? (n)

You can market them as a lightweight alloy for winter rims for those that are downsizing from 17" (as long as it clears the calipers on those vehicles).

The rim size of the Prime is a common specification (as is the tire).

I know you want to sell the whole set, but I sure would like one of those for a spare for my Prime.

I thought about that but you could be able to get aluminum rims for snow tires for about $150.

I would like to sell the complete set of rims, tires and caps, Figuring that if someone had an earlier generation Prius they could be able to update the looks for not a lot of money.

Previous generation bare rims are very close in appearance, both are utilitarian in appearance, to my eye at least. The only "update" I see is the plastic wheel cover style.

I've never warmed to Toyota's concept of plastic covers on alloys, kinda biased.

I understand Mendel, Toyota’s answer that this particular wheel covers cheat the wind for that extra point something something extra mpg.

I’m hoping the potential buyer will appreciate for the fact that they’re brand new Bridgestone’s, and the wheel covers themselves aren’t beat up. 600 for all set up for I figure is a good price. I just need the right buyer and I’m not in a rush.

$150 each? or for a set of 4? (I assume $150 each). But there's no guarantee that it's as good of a quality for $150. That or I'm totally out of whack about US prices. I know Canadian prices are much, much more for a set of rims (OEM or aftermarket)

If it’ll help, I ended up selling my set without TPMS for $500

Have you noticed a change in your fuel economy with the new 17” wheels and tires?

Not really a change. The 17 inch wheels I bought we’re actually about 12 ounces lighter than the stock wheels. I already have about 900 miles on the car and I am averaging about 78 miles to the gallon.

I noticed that the car handles better and is quieter than the eco-tires that came with it. I’m very happy I made the car look cooler with the bigger wheels but also handle better.
