Auto headlights activation threshold

    I have my headlights set to go on automatically, but they don’t seem to go on early enough for my taste.

    I will find myself driving without them in rain storms, for example, when most other chars on the road have theirs on. I end up needing to turn my lights on manually.

    I did make this adjustment in Carista, but it didn’t seem to help.

    DARKEST / DARKER / NORMAL / LIGHTER / *LIGHTEST*​

    Just me, or should I be doing something else?

    I have automatic headlights, set to *LIGHTEST* and have not experienced any similar problems.

    I've had that same feeling in every car I've had with auto headlights; about 6 of them.

    When it bothered me, I turned them on manually. Most of the time I just lived with it.

    IF.....you can find the sensor responsible, you might be able to partially cover it or use a small piece of window tint.

    Aren't your headlights supposed to come on automatically after the wipers have run a short time ??

    That has happened on several other cars I've driven, but doesn't seem to on the Gen 4 hatchback. Neither does the rear wiper come on with reverse while the main word are operating. Two steps forward, one step back!
