A few days ago, something crashed to my sidemirror while driving, and I had a crack on my mirror cab. It was a kind of minor damage, so tried to find out the part. But my dealership offered me ridiculous price about over 80 dollars without labor fee. Even it was unpainted one. Worse, the front kindly advised me to go to their collision center to have quote IN PERSON. It was no joke.
Finally, I happened to contact Carson Toyota in California where I made a special order with only 50. It is still expensive but it made me forget all about stupid deals.

I am sending all of my curse with no compassion to AUTOl\l/\TION IN BUENA PARK and crazy empire of capitalism.

Replacement is quite easy but needed a pound of strength. Fold in the sidemirror, and pull it out gradually inside out. It will pop up with some noise. To protect your finger nail, please use gloves.

That's actually a good price. 10 years ago, when I was responsible for a flock of fleet vehicles, we were being charged $250-$400 to have them replaced - that's by a crash repair centre. It was cheaper if they weren't painted like on some FORDs we had.

Broke passenger side mirror, had to replace housing and cover
Supply chain shortage made it difficult to source
Total parts were $400 (the housing was $300 becuz it had all the options, color coded cover was $70)
Found a YouTube video to remove door panel on a Gen4
DIY took just 20minutes to replace
Make sure you have plastic pry tools (Amazon-$7) so you don’t scratch any plastic surface.
