Sure, I just ordered OBDLink LX on-line. It will be a few days before I get it.

Thanks, got it to work with an ELM327 I had lying around.

Below is what Tire Assistant shows. I just wished that it worked while moving.

I just got OBDLink LX today. It connected fine and Hybrid Assistance as well as Tire Assistance works fine. According to ELM327 Identifier, it support up to v1.4b but not anything higher. I am quite pleased with its functionality so far. OBDLink itself has it's own free app for diagnosis OBDLink (OBD car diagnostics) - Apps on Google Play. I also purchased additional 2017 Prime specific PID's for $9.99, and it seems to have many additional diagnostic parameters. However, I am having problem loading Network B enhanced PID which include many of PRIME Advanced features (mine is Premium) but includes TPMS PID and other PIDs for PRIME. Default OBDII diagnostic PIDs and Prime specific Network A PID works fine. I didn't have time today, but I will need to play with it bit more to fully appreciate what it can do.

little late, but the last update Carista just added it said "added support for Toyota/Lexus TMPS", so i believe they have.

and i also recommend using "OBDCarDoctor", it can even show wear on ur hybrid battery in percentage.

Thanks for the info. OBDLink LX and Tire Assistant are working for TPMS for me. I will look for OBDCarDoctor next. One thing I am wondering is what people do with bluetooth OBD scanner when they are not using it. Do they keep it inserted into the OBD socket all the time or take it off when it is not being used? The scanner I purchased (OBDLink LX) is not too bulky, but it does stick out a bit and I am afraid I may damage it if I accidently kicks it with my foot especially when I am trying to apply the parking brake.

sometimes i leave it in, sometimes i leave it out lol, i have the carista adapter, its realllly small so it isnt a problem for me if i have it in.
To me tho, the carista adapter sometimes stops working if its in for to long tho.

I had a scangauge constantly plugged into the OBD port, and started getting "check hybrid system" message, error codes pointing to brake problems, coupled with a definite return-to-defaults feel to the brakes. At the suggestion of a dealership mechanic (he was saying sporadic disconnects when hooked up with Techstream) I disconnected the ScanGuage, and now connect it only momentary, when I have to check something.

Some of these devices may drain your 12V battery if left in too long, so there's that as well.

The Carista feature allows re-programming of the TPMS. I don't see the option to view pressures.

Need help. I have a generic elm327 and a BAFX blue tooth scanner. They both worked on my other cars but when I plugged into my prime they both stop working. All I got now is just the red light on the scanner.

I looked up the BAFX and it looks like it should work assuming that you're still using an Android device with it.

That's what the website says but when I plugg into my prius the obdii stops working. Now they are just paper weight. The red light is on but no blue tooth signal.

Can you try it in another car to see if the device is obviously defective? It might still be defective even if it does work in another car, but if it doesn't work, then it's a no-brainer.

I tried in my other cars and it doesn't work anymore. I wonder why my prius is killing the obdii readers? Earlier in the post someone was using the same reader and it seems to work fine. Mabe because I have the advance model?

the OBDLink LX model has a ''sleep'' and ''wake up'' feature .. it won't drain the 12v.

It seems much more likely to me that a reader would die because it's cheaply made than that a car would kill it.

That's interesting. I don't think mine did, and it doubled the parasitic draw on my Prime Advanced, adding about 65 milliamps while my Prime was off. I left the window of my prime rolled down in my garage with a mirror placed under the Carista, and the red LED light on it always stayed on. I would not leave it plugged in.

Maybe it has something to do with EU and US priuses? Maybe EU priuses r programmed to cut off the power until it feels the OBD input is being used or something like that.

I don't know. Have you ever checked to verify that your OBD port turns off and remains off?
