Check Hybrid System throws P0A80 Replace Hybrid Battery Pack
Failure mileage is 152510 on July 16, 2018 and 2010 Toyota Prius placed into service July 14, 2009.
California Emission Control Warranty spells out
"For 15 years or 150,000 miles whichever occurs first."
    Statement followed by this caveat:
"Warranty coverage for the hybrid battery is 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first."

    1) Would Toyota of America have a good will warranty margin of less than 2% over 150,000 miles?

Additionally we paid for extended warranty coverage and also have Warranty Enhancement Program which
spells out "certain internal malfunctions of Intelligent Power Module ... provides coverage for
15 years with no mileage limitation from the date of first use."

    2) Would the Hybrid battery be part of the Intelligent Power Module?

Ask for a goodwill warranty, the sooner the better. They should cover it

sorry to hear it, and a little surprised. what about the extended warranty you purchased?

the ipm module and the battery are not related.

This really is surprising for them to not offer any help when you are 2500 miles over the warranty. There are examples of people over 2 years out of warranty and still get assistance.

Maybe you can try again with another representative?
