So, my 2005 Prius has been driving normally for about 15 minutes after it's turned on, but after that, the on screen main battery warning light comes on, and the acceleration slows down to going up about 1 mph per second. But after it is turned off and back on again, it goes back to having normal acceleration. I was wondering if anybody else has had a problem like this?

Maybe you have a failed inverter pump? Either way your car went into limp mode

    Isn't that like.... umm, 60 mph? ;)

All kidding aside, another vote for inverter pump failure and the inverter is getting too hot. With the car in ON and in Park, you can check inverter coolant tank for turbulence/flow. If none, pump is shot.

    GOOD LUCK!
