    Hi everyone,

Ordered and installed the factory Toyota option DAB module yesterday on my 2012 facelift Prius with the newer touch and go headunit.

Just thought i would document how easy it was and that it works brilliantly as i could not find any information before as to wether or not it would actually work with the newer head unit as the instructions only show the older HDD headunit.

The install took just under one hour its just plug and play i done it myself as Toyota wanted too much to fit it and it looked easy enough. the unit integrates perfectly with the headunit and i now have a DAB tab under the Media options very happy.

Im in the UK and the module cost me £380 including VAT

    the part number is PZ473-T0210-A0

I recently also installed the same factory DAB unit in my 2013 prius, I found a used unit on ebay for £80 which was listed as being for a Lexus and the part number on the unit is PZ473 00210 A2. it came with the interface lead but no antenna I was a bit concerned there may be some difference as the part numbers were different but it plugged in to the rear of the Jbl head unit fine. I didn't really fancy an on glass antenna as I read conflicting reports of how well they work so after some research discovered the 2014 Toyota Auris has a combined FM/DAB roof antenna so once again bought a used one. The base footprint is larger and whip longer than the Prius antenna but roof fit is identical so it popped straight in. But you have to do some work on the connections, at the antenna end although the nylon plug is the same in addition to the power feed for the antenna's built in amp and AM/FM coax there is an additional one for the DAB, I fiddled about making up a proper connector for the factory plug but in hindsight it's probably easier to just cut the dab lead and join it to the extension cable. For the new antenna lead I bought a 5m RG174 ( rg174 is the coax spec) extension lead with fitted connectors on, the antenna plug that goes into the DAB unit is called a Fakra B or Fakra 9001 type. You can buy these ready made extensions from Aliexpress, I found they also sell a lead which looks like the one you need to connect the dab box to the head unit. The setup works great and quality is better than FM but the only thing I found is the voice command does not seem to work on the dab tuner when you tell it a station name it just repeats the prompt a couple of times then cancels but i can live with that.

First post here, so hopefully someone can help :)
I have a Prius Plus Excel 2014. The car has the JBL upgraded unit, with sat nav (same as the one in dan_ep82's post above). I had thought the car came with DAB but later found out it didn't! Although I believe the fitted aerial does have both FM and DAB capability. Local dealer has been no help at all and to be honest, I did not have a particularly good experience with them whilst buying the car, but that's another story haha.
Any way, I am very keen to get the DAB module and would like info on where the best place would be to get one? I have been watching eBay for about 1 month and not seen a single one or anything similar! dan_ep82, would you be able to advise where you purchased yours from please?
Thanks in advance for help :)
