Yep. I am returning to my roots.... I almost forgot how much more fun it is to be driving in the PWR mode. Blowing Mustangs off the line.... And leaving all those tailgaters in my dust. :ROFLMAO: Driving a Prius does not have to be boring. ;) And I still get 55 mpg. (calculated) That's good enough.

(But when the Cop pulled me over, he said: "You CANNOT be serious!!")

I like ECO Mode if I'm using the throttle myself - it's much better to modulate. Particularly if I'm "Pulse & Glide"ing. Or on a country drive with little traffic in RADAR Cruise mode.

YES - I use a slow Mouse. I went to use my daughter's computer and the mouse flew from one side of the screen to the other, difficult to control.

I use POWER Mode (on PRIUS, not COMPUTER) if I'm on the Motorway using RADAR Cruise IF there's a lot of traffic - the majority of my driving.

NORMAL - I'm rarely (in) Normal.

But my observations is that it makes so little effect on l/100km as to not matter.

Yep precisely - ugly - and reminds me of an office - which I vacated enthusiastically when I retired.

This is not much different to:

True, it feels grrrreat to surge away from hot-hatches in a short sprint!
Even burned off a man-cub trying to force overtake me on a hill to impress his front seat chic. He started to pull out but could beat a Prius. Should have heard the horn serenade he gave me. I didn't think it was a salute.

I'm not serious about racing my Prius. ;) But I do prefer the light pedal feel, and brisk acceleration that the PWR mode provides.... if only for a short distance.... then the loud CVT drone and ICE noise becomes too much. (time for a new Avatar again )

That huge screen is nice for people who have failing vision? And good for courier drivers and taxi drivers that need a large map display? But I think it would be too much of a distraction for me. There are already too many distractions in a Prius, IMHO.

My favourite thing is same as Smaug's, the quiet, relaxed, less stressful driving experience. :)
Only problem is, if you get too relaxed you could doze off.

Forgot to mention - I was in Eco mode at the time. Just pressed my foot to the floor and≤≤≤≤whoosh!

Go drive a typical ICE-equipped Honda and re-calibrate your ears for what quiet isn't. When you come back to your Prius, you'll realize it is very quiet indeed. Just because you can hear the engine doesn't mean it's loud. I actually liked the engine noise from my Accord; it was music to my ears under acceleration; but I didn't like the road and wind noise.

If I had to pick one besides the obvious, probably would be it’s tail lights, I know I don’t get to see them but knowing the way they light up? would put a smile on my face.

My 2016 Three has loud road noise. That has been my complaint from day-1. Tideland Prius says my window insulation is different from the upper models. And yes, also loud CVT and ICE noise. Maybe there's no insulation in the firewall. And I know there's none in the doors. Guys are tearing their Prime's apart and adding sound-deadening material. But I'm used to it now. Just turn the radio up louder! :ROFLMAO:

I owmed two Honda Civics and two Accords. I would say my Prius is just as loud as they were. Maybe not the engine noise, but the outside road noise is very similar.

(And the tire noise, but that's a different story.)

I had the same feelings about the Gen 3 I had, everyone else was saying how quiet theirs was. I loved the car but the road noise was driving me crazy, it even had Michelin Primacy tyres on, which were supposedly one of the quietest. SWMBO's Gen 2 was quieter on all but the roughest surfaces, I traded the Gen 3 in for a Prius+ (V).
I can only assume that there is the odd individual car that is slightly different in some way that makes it noisier. One of my theories was wheel alignment, it can vary slightly from car to car from new, although the tyres wore very evenly across the tread on mine.
My Gen 4 is very quiet, I can hardly hear the ICE even with the window down. I was driving along the other day, window down and accelerating steadily and I though to myself, this is pulling well in EV mode and I looked across and the EV light was off but I couldn't hear the ICE. That meant either the ICE was very quiet or the EV light was not giving me the correct info, which is not unheard of.
P.s. I do love my Zorro lights :)

There are two things I really miss about no longer owning a Prius.
One is it's performance in a traffic jam, or stop and go traffic. The Prius and HSD makes it unique, as it's whole design makes it about as efficient a vehicle as possible in those situations. It's still no fun in a traffic jam. But with my Prius? You could relax, look around you, and enjoy the fact you were burning as little fuel as possible. There were times I cranked up the tunes and actually just enjoyed the Traffic Jam.

The other thing I miss, is the incredible MPG I would get on any long highway road trip. I not rich, but with the Prius, cost of gas to get to almost any destination was never the big issue as far as going on a road trip, now I have to factor in cost, as well as pull over more often to fill up. Now it's more a "Damn, I have to get gas"...when with The Prius..it was more often..."Wow, I've still got 1/3rd of a tank! " .
The Prius IMO is also uniquely designed to be a GREAT road trip vehicle.

Had to drive the wife's car today. Got eye strain from constantly having to change between focussing on the close speedometer and the more distant road.

Maybe I'm getting old (in my 40s now) but I'm going to cast a vote for...

    The HUD!

What are you driving now? Did you have a Gen 4?
