    Hey!

My mfd screen doesn’t remember my settings and i probably need to change it. My plan is to buy a used one on eBay but my car has both gps, camera and automatic parking. So my question is
: can I buy any mfd with the extra buttons (gps version)

Ps is anyone is familiar with the memory loss please contact me

    Hi! And welcome to PriusChat.

Memory loss is a power supply issue, so, if you have checked your 12 V battery and it is charged to a good level (> 12.7 V) and can hold a charge (more often at the high end 12 V rather than at the low end) then the issue must be in the MFD itself or the power to it from the 12 V battery.

You should really narrow down where the issue is.

As far as I know, on the 2007-2009 there are only two models of MFD used, a 4 button one and a 7 button one. So you should be ok to find a 7 button one. As you will be using eBay, it would be safer to buy only the model that is in your car, as some sellers wouldn't know their a@$e from their elbow. You can get the model number off the back of your current MFD.

Thank you for the answer! My mfd only remover the old owner of the car in Bluetooth settings and the brown color (wallpaper). If I but the 12v battery out and connect it stills remember the previous owner and wallpaper.

Do you thing this is the mfd and/or is it repairable.

It also remember the settings a few minutes after I turn the car of and restart it again example start the car make new settings and then turn it off and wait a minute before I turn it on the settings will still be there. But If I wait for like 10 minutes or more it will go back

Not likely. It is looking like the problem is most likely in the MFD itself.
