I have a 2010 Prius presenting DTC: P0A0D30. I've searched and do not find any information about this code anywhere. Has anyone seen this code before? Where can I go to find out what it is? Many thanks!

    welcome!
the codes are all in the service manual. are you reading it with tech stream?
what behavior is your car exhibiting that led you to scan for trouble codes?

I read the code with a Vgate iCar ELM OBDII (OBD2) transmitter and Car Scanner app on iPhone.

I replaced the 12v battery and on Power up the display says: "Check Hybrid System" and when I attempt to shift into D or R it refuses and says "Shift into P" on the display.

I read the DTC and even did a "Deep Scan" using the Car Scanner app and there are no codes.

Does anyone know anyone in Minneapolis with a TechStream I could borrow/rent. I've ordered my own TechStream but will take a couple of weeks to get here.

Or, can anyone recommend a good independent repair shop for this? I really don't like the idea of having it towed to a Toyota Dealer.

Thank you for your reply. The "Check Hybrid System" showed up on the Display and car would not shift into gear. The 12v battery turned out to be dead (original battery from factory).

No Congrats yet. On Power on, the diplasy says "Check Hybrid System", it won't go into D or R, and no codes are generated.

So, I am trying to find someone in Minneapolis with a TechStream I could borrow/rent. I've ordered my own TechStream but will take a couple of weeks to get here.

Know anyone independent in Minneapolis, Minnesota that can help? I really don't like the idea of having it towed to a Toyota Dealer.

Does it go into ready mode? Did you mess with the orange interlock on the hv battery?

No, It does not go into READY mode.

Yes, after my above described experience, I did disconnect, inspect, then reconnect the orange Safety Plug and I did it properly according to the many posts on the subject. I also disconnected, inspected, and reconnected the other electrical connectors plugs near the ventilation fan as other posts/threads suggest.

Did you lock the orange interlock? Slide it to the right afterwards? Screenshot_2018-08-22-21-23-37.jpeg

Ok, congrats are in order! @strawbrad (Brad with Minnesota Hybrid Batteries, http://www.minnesotahybridbatteries.com) came to my aid with his Techstream setup and the codes shown in the images below are from the Techstream. It showed code P3004 which is the inverter IPM (Intelligent Power Module). Brad mentioned the extended warranty on the inverters, so I promptly looked it up and found what I needed here: https://attachments.priuschat.com/attachment-files/2015/10/96076_Warranty_Enhancement_Notification_ZE3.pdf

Armed with this info, I called the nearest Toyota dealer and asked if they could perform the extended warranty work. I had never been to this Toyota dealer and I bought the car used, but they performed the work no problem and it was !00% covered by the extended warranty.

Thank you everyone who helped! Thanks also to Toyota for standing behind their products!!
