Very true. But mine was not in drivers direct line of view. Was on passenger side top where you look for street signs and some right turn traffic lights.

Just do what we always did at the dealership at the recommendation of a glass replacement shop for the very situation your talking about.

Superglue - it dries crystal clear, and will seal that crack for a short time before the cold sets in and then your glass starts to spider web.

*don't buy the "thick" superglue. If it runs down your windshield, let it run. Once it dries, just scrape with a razorblade. (If you try to wipe it off, you'll just smear superglue all over your windshield)

It's hard to find decent superglue now. The superglue that first came out years ago was pretty powerful stuff, but now it seems to be a shadow of its former self.

I'm not so sure your correct. Maybe if your talking about the actual "superglue" brand that started it all. I say this as I'm a rabid RC Airplane fanatic - the stuff is better than ever. (In the RC hobby we call it "CA" - available at any hobby shop). We utilize the same brand of CA I use in the hobby that we do at work. That stuff is holding things together at my work all over the place. :)

Oh, ...glad to hear that a good version does exist then!
