I took my car into the dealership and was told I needed a new brake booster and accumulator and was quoted $4,600 for the repair. I declined and decided I would weigh my options for a little while. However, the main symptom I was having is a brake "barking" sound and haven't had any dash lights come on yet. I wanted to know for those that were able to get the repair at the dealership thanks to the updated TSB if you had any lights showing up or just failure symptoms?

Mine had lights on. When I scanned the car and the lights weren't on there were no trouble codes stored. I doubt they will fix it without any trouble codes stored. Don't worry, your dash will light up like a christmas tree sooner or later. The new customer assistance program is good on 2010's with no mileage limit until Nov 2019 then it only works on cars with less than 150k miles.

Got our Prius back, took 1.5 weeks to fix it most of that was waiting on parts. Looks like the accumulator was replaced, not sure if they replaced the actuator my wife picked it up after hours and didn't get the paperwork. The car makes much less pump sounds and she said the brakes actually feel like a normal car now (much stronger).

Accumulator and actuator are different parts on a 2010. Your paperwork should have listed the replaced part
