All the warning lights came on
    Lost all acceleration while driving
Car will power up. engine runs for a few seconds and shuts off....will not shift into gear.
Inverter pump is running as it should.
    12v Battery is new.

    Getting the POA7A CODE
also got the P2238 CODE once but have not been able to replicate code sense.

Not sure where to start....any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Easiest way is to Google the error codes and it'll point you to most popular threads for the repair efforts on here, in this case threads about inverter repair.

Note.....when starting the engine runs pretty rough then shuts down.

either your cat converter died (100k mile warrany - sorry) or if your lucky, it's disconected. The other code is worse ... generator / inverter.

Changed out the inverter with no luck....still same issue/code. Anyone have any ideas on where to start next? Not a lot of info on the web.

How would I test the transaxle and hvcm?

John Kelly did a milliohm meter demo video on youtube. In it he goes into some methods to diagnose a bad electric motor assembly. I suspect, even if you don't have access to one of these meters, it will at least point you in the right direction for more diagnosis:

I don't have access to a million locally. No one sells them. This is the only step via Toyota tech info that I wasn't able to complete. I'm really hoping it's not the transaxle that's causing the issue.

They're a fairly common tool among electrical engineers that work on computer hardware. Also your local community college or university may be able to help...
