I have a 2007 Prius Touring with 138,500 miles I bought a few days ago. I have the red triangle, yellow "!", and VSC lights. When I turn off the car, it won't go into Ready mode.
I checked my 12V battery and it's fine. It reads around 12.4 V.

I used techstream for the first time and found two codes P0AA6(Hybrid Battery Voltage System Isolation Fault) and B1421 Solar Sensor Circuit Passenger side. I don't know how to run shortwave highest value because my car does not run.

The car isn't going into ready mode, because the HV system is protecting you and the vehicle, from possible safety hazard: electrocution.

The code depicts that there's an isolation problem somewhere in the HV system: HV battery, transmission, cabling, or even the battery pack itself.

What sub code are you getting from the scanned results?

Can you take more data list info, showing the AC system consumption, and the shortwave values? The AC system power consumption should be in the 1....kWh range, while the shortwave value, 4.999hz. If you're getting 0.00hzt on the shortwave, you've a short in the AC system compressor. But if no short in there, you got to check the pack, if there are leaks from the modules.

If it is a pack leak, it can be very obvious when opening it up. Such as when you see evidence of where electrolyte has leaked and them dried up.

    Bad hybrid battery.

Use search forums button up top and search

I see. Weirdly, I won't be able to get the subcodes. When I try to look at shortwave values, the below message shows up as in the photo.

It is not allowing me to look at the measurements for shortwave values.

As I read through them, there can be different problems not only the bad hybrid battery.

Yea, that's a good idea. I will start investigating but since this is electric I have to take some careful actions. Like gloves etc. Any eyeglasses needed?

There seems to be a connection problem with your tech stream cable. Is it properly connected to the ibd2 of the car? Or the software you're using might be bad on the laptop.

Try clicking the DATALIST portion on the tech stream. It should display all info including the short wave value

No eye glasses needed. Gloves should be able to withstand 100)V(can't remember if it's CAT1, or so). Get a DVM also abs so set of wrenches

Have you looked at the photo I get when I try to look at data list. I get the p0aa6 error but when I try to look datalist portion it is throwing an error as the above picture. I am thinking that I should start the car somehow then try to look at datalist.

could you clarify these two below because I am new in this area. Thanks
    abs?
    DVM?

100 V would be too low. Class 00 gloves (500 V) can be ok around the battery, but not necessarily around an operating inverter or MG when the car can boost the voltage to 650 or so. Class 0 gloves are rated 1000 V.

Maybe you meant to type 1000 and the final 0 came out ) ?

A DVM would be a digital volt meter. (Usually, the things you can buy these days are DMMs, digital multi meters, which can measure not only voltage but current, resistance, sometimes frequency, capacitance, temperature, ...).

My mistake here. I meant to type 1000V, of 100V. Thanks for the pointer

    @ChapmanF has clarified already.
The abs was a mistake. Meant to type "and", and not abs.

Pls, if you are new in this field of high voltage systems, why not get someone paid to do the job for ya?

Just be extremely careful though, when you're in that territory.

Yes I did. When scanning the car for codes, you got to switch on the car (not to ready though). If its not ON, you'd ha e that error code also

    Hey guys,

Thanks for all inputs you make. I looked at stream data while connected to wifi. The techstream does not work otherwise. The data I get from the data list is in photos:

From this piece of info you've just dropped here, the problem you're having us emanating from the HV battery pack.

It might be that some or all the modules are leaking electrolyte to ground (body kd battery pan), or the system main relays has got some issues.

Can you provide info showing the battery block voltages, pls?

Ok. But I don't know how to get the voltage readings. If you give me some suggestions for that, I will do that?

You can use tech stream to get a real live data of the values, or disassemble the HV battery pack, a d read the voltages in the modules, using digital voltmeter
