I thought this info may be deserving of its own thread with an informative title, based on a short discussion in a previous thread:
    https://priuschat.com/threads/wiper-blades-inserts-confusion-uchannel-vs-sightline.198178

Long story short - replacing wipers and/or rubber blade inserts on the 2010-2015 is somewhat confusing. There are three "OEM" options for blade assemblies. Only two of these accept the replacement rubber inserts.

    Here is what I've learned:

The OEM blade assemblies will indeed accept the replacement rubber inserts. The PNs, approximate shipped prices, and Amazon item numbers for the blade assemblies are listed below.
    Combined price: $70

    85212-47040 - $25
    B00FXMABI6
    85222-75011 - $55
    B00KTK3KN0

The Toyota-branded "Sightline" blades that the dealership sells will NOT accept replacement inserts. They are made in China. The PNs and approximate shipped prices for the Sightline blades are listed below.
    Combined price: $42

    85212-YZZ1K-TM - $17
    85212-YZZ1E-TM - $25

The Denso "designer" blades appear to be identical to the OEM blades but are half the price. I ordered these and can confirm they are made in Japan and that they *will* accept the OEM replacement inserts. They are much better quality than the Sightline blades.
    Combined price: $37

    Denso 160-3119 - $14
    B002Y39LNS
    Denso 160-3126 - $23
    B002Y39LYM

If you have either the OEM blade assemblies that came with the car or the Denso "designer" blades, you can use the replacement rubber inserts to rejuvinate your wipers. Most climates will need them replaced about once yearly.
    Combined price: $20

    85214-68020 - $10
    B003FADK7C
    85214-30390 - $10
    B003FAF2W8

    I hope this helps someone.

I pulled the part numbers for the 2013 Prius Two (although I presume all trim levels have identical wiper blade assemblies for that model year). As of 9/27/18, here are the prices for Amazon (blade inserts, not whole blade).

    85214-68020 - $9.80 USD (Left)
    85214-30390 - $10.23 USD (Right)
    85214-0E050 - $10.25 USD (Rear)

Interesting. That's about $1 more each than I paid at the Toyota dealership down the street. But then I paid sales tax and had to drive a whole mile to get there and another mile back home.

I just ordered a set for my Lexus CT -- $21 for all three. e-bay. There are many dealers selling on e-bay -- seem CA mostly. I buy from them all the time .. even being on the east coast.

The Denso aftermarket are very nice -- I buy them for any car that I cannot get the inserts. They are not the same quality as the OE Toyota .. Close -- but not the same. I don't replace the inserts in the Denso replacements.

In what way do you feel that the Denso are inferior to OEM assemblies? AFAIK, Denso *is* the OEM, and they are identical, save for the Toyota logo on the OEM assemblies.

Also, why don't you replace the inserts in the Denso assemblies? Again, AFAIK, the inserts are identical as OEM rubber and are easily replaceable. Are you saying you toss the entire assembly when the rubber inserts wear out? If so, why?

Have actually found them to not be the same as the OE .. yes, they look about the same. I buy them for a lot of cars -- the rubber does not last as long. The best route is getting the insert set from an online dealer. I started buying the aftermarket Denso for my Jaguars -- they last longer vs the OE Bosch

Well, according to the online Toyota parts index, these inserts are not available for sale. I supposed Toyota wants to sell the whole assembly for a much higher profit margin.

I didn't check online. Someone here on PC said they bought them, so I went down the street to Sun Toyota and bought them. And they are WAY better than anything I've ever tried from a parts store.

Thanks guys for the info, I ordered all 3 wiper inserts (less trash for recycling plants or landfills) for $18.72 plus $3.00 shipping. Seller is from Scottsdale, AZ so I didn't have to pay local sales tax. :p
