Finally, I could get the codes. They are 526 and 612. I also recorded all battery readings as well as short wave voltage which read 4.99v in all cases. Please have a look at the photos.

If you got such a value on the short wave, that means there isn't a short circuit anywhere on the HV circuitry.

I can also see that the block voltages are pretty much, OK, but I ha e concerns why the internal resistances are high.

    Is your pack blower working?

Do you hear some kind of power fan noise at the rear?

The only options I think for you is to open up the HV pack, and inspect it for leaks, a d all that.

The voltages on you posted won't give you all info you might need. I have experienced for instant, two gen2(05s) with nice voltages on the screen, but when opened the pack, got to see electrolyte leaks, with pretty much same voltages nominally.

Thanks for the input. Now I have concerns about whether I have to do balancing of voltages for modules because I will be disconnecting the hv battery and therefore might have to charge/recharge process as I detach the hv battery in order to find out what was the cause for the codes 526 and 612.

Sure you have to do that, if for instant, you only have few modules that are leaking, or faulty. But if you ha e more than a few, then, replacing the pack would be easier. You don't need to perform any balancing, depending if the pack still retains something like 8....volts. In some case, if the voltages nominally aren't in the 8...s volts, then grid charging, etc has to be the next option.

After some time I found a water leak. I am attaching the photo. Also, the water might have damaged the white thing in the photo. But I don't know what that is. I also measured the voltage of the pack to see if there is any voltage leak but none. I think the problem is elsewhere relays or etc.

Please let me know what is that white thing(IMG_0522) in the photo.

PS. I also ordered a megohmmeter so I will be able to see where is the leak.

White thing in image 0522 looks like it is the part for the smart key system.

I can't really tell where this is based on the photo.

You can always double check the part number. Was too blurry to make out in the photo.

To me it looked like 89992-47040, which googled right up as a smart-key oscillator.

    Hi all,

Finally opened the HV battery. I think this is a leak. But please help me identify if this is really a leak.

Uhhh... yeah. Ya' kinda got a leak there.
    That does not look good.

Start disassembling the pack and inspecting the modules if you want to pinpoint the source of the problem.

You must have gotten where the problem is NOW!

As @ericbecky said, disassemble the modules to track which is bad.
    1. If you don't want to replace the pack entirely, and want to go replacing leaked modules way, I'd suggest you get a voltmeter, that you could use to test the individual modules' terminals, in reference to the floor pan of the pack. That way, you'd be able to identity which of them has voltage leaks of electrolytes from their seams, terminal studs, or even the body of the module itself.
I have fixed several of those such of leaks on Prii 05&04s.

    2. You can wash some of the modules with water, and a mind soap, to get rid of the electrolytes.

    3. Treat the floor pan of the pack of corrosion. You can use paint.
I used lubricating oil, and a small paint brush after sun drying pan after I washed it.

    4. Get replacement modules, and do the normal discharge/recharge cycles, and up you're done.

    5. Test and drive car.

    6. It would also be a food time for you to take a look at the blower fan itself, and the ducting.
    Clean them of dust, etc.
I disassembled this owner fan from a Camry hybrid I had worked on some months back.
Notice the dirts that came out of the blower after cleaning, and washing the blades with small quantity of water.
Be careful not to allow water get into the electric motor.
The assembled blower fan looks clean now when compared to the BEFORE pictures.

PS: I took a lot of notes during this job.
    Was interesting though.
I marked the suspected modules with a UE marker, and also the pan (similar to cordoning a crime scene).
In my case, I replaced only 4modules.

    Pls when yo
Pls when you get the mod
Pls when you get the modules out, could you please mark off the points of the leaks? I'd want to see if there are patterns of leaks on the gen2s, especially, 04/05.

A solution of boric acid in water is what Toyota recommends for washing down the leaked areas, to neutralize the highly alkaline leaked electrolyte.

Good chemical resistant gloves, by the way, while you're anywhere near that stuff and before it's neutralized. No touching the eyes....

Where can I find it? A link will be good. If you suggest other things that I need, please could you share with me. I don't know what I might need for the whole process.

So, I took out all the modules. To my surprise, all the modules read 7.51 volts and look without a leak.
The only leak is on the chassis ground. I think I should test the individual modules.

    Any guide?
Can I test them using Imax b6?

Well, for me, I think there's an imbalance problem? The Delta Vs seems to have deviated more than the 0.3 between blocks.

Are you having triangle light showing with this result?

Let's expect inputs from other experts here too.

You could test and balance the modules and the replacement ones with the charger. But you got to buy maybe close to 8-10 pieces of those to hasten the job.

The leaks are similar to mine. They started from the middle modules as well. This makes me think because of the heat they undergo, probably that increased their internal resistances.

Do the serial numbers on this pack show any signs that pack has been messed with prior to this?
Are they all within a similar serial number range?
