1 day... My daily commute is 38 miles (both ways, no charging at work). I have made ALL EV for this commute only twice in last 1 year of PRIME ownership.

Not counting when temps are extremely high or low - I tend to go about a month without using gas since my daily commute is 50 miles (25 miles one way) and I'm able to charge at work. That monthly gas expenditure is my monthly trip to the store to re-stock my food supplies.

Hoping for 1 month straight but it is getting difficult since my daily commute is 45 miles and I can charge both at work & home but I miss at-least once a week to charge at work for various reasons so the best I got as of now is like 4 days.

Probably 3 days since my commute is 55 miles. I guess I'm in the same boat as a lot of others. :(

    WOW.. that is awesome!!!!

So Husk, what happens to the gas for that long a time, does the car eventually just burn some of it, or did your gas meter just stay at full?

Also.. did it get to be a "pain" to always plug it in everyday??

I usually go 29 days. Then on the last day of the month I like to burn a little gas. Also don’t care about eco scores on the last day of the month because everything starts all over on the first of the month. So far I have only burned a 1/4 tank in 10 months. My commute is only 22 miles round trip which helps.

Thanks Benagi, this is how I think I would end up if / when I get a Prius. Have you noticed a substantial increase in your electric bill?

125*. May 12, 2018 to Sept. 14, 2018. Commute round trip is 2.5 miles, which gives me the opportunity to go electric most always, at least until the car is driven on a cross country trip.

    * I might have used about a cup of gas somewhere in there doing a 35 mile errand.

I’ve never counted in terms of days. But I last bought gas in December, so I’ve had very long stretches without using any gas. Then again, I have a short commute and not much of a social life.

Does not burn any. Just stays at full. All of my trips around town are EV. Only use gas when I have to travel which is not often. Gas for months unused seems to be fine. I would not want to go over 6 months and there is a difference between winter blend and summer blend so there is that. Not a pain at all plugging in. Sure beats nozzling in. Personally, I have not noticed any significant change in my power bill from pre Prime days.

42 days for me. One time deal. I normally have once weekly round trips that are about 115 miles.

5 days typically - my commute is 10 miles and i have a charger at work but weekends i drive more then hit the gas.

I would do great if i had an all electric car.

About 2 weeks. We've taken some pretty long road trips as well and are currently averaging 118 mpg since new.
